Jane Kostenko and I arrived at the cemetery this morning at about 6:30. There were already several people there and more arrived soon. We scanned and scanned hoping that the shuffling flock would eventually yield the prize. After about 1.5 hours, the geese started getting restless and taking off in small squadrons. We glassed them all to make sure the PFGO wasn't among them. Did find to Cackling Geese. Small consolation. After that, we divided up with some folks going to AE Mullinix (AEM) and others just driving around looking for farm ponds and goose flocks. We finally threw in the towel at 1:45.

Interesting that when we got back to the cemetery for a final stop, someone said they had heard that the bird had been seen at 7. I doubt that as Jim Green had left the cemetery pond and headed out to AEM where the bird was rumored to have been spotted. He reported back that there were only about 5 Canada Geese there so there's no way that he could have missed it.

Also, on our last pass down AEM, the farmer had transitioned his rake from the west field to the field where the PFGO had been seen last yesterday afternoon. Apparently during his raking, after we left, he went right through the goose flock sending them scattering off to the SE. One woman who had just driven 4 hours arrived in time to witness this and was quite distraught thinking her target had just gone bye bye. We assured her that it wasn't there.

Anyway, to round out the goose chase, we swung through Solomons and the Greater White-fronted Goose was in the field across from the CD Cafe with a small flock of about 25 Canada Geese.
