Great spot Phil. I did check that pond on my way out today .Around 1030 . Also another car of birders had stopped while i was checking another spot on that road and so they may have also already checked there . Easily scanned as there were maybe less than a hundred Canada there in the pond . No geese in the field surrounding the pond .

MD Osprey:
As I was headed toward Jones Road on Tuesday, I was searching the general area for other goose flocks on my way. Sometime between 7:30 and 8:00 am, I found a large number of Canada Geese (~500-700) that had apparently spent the night on a large farm pond in the area. Many were on the water and some were feeding in the adjacent fields.
I had checked the flock twice before they started lifting off and heading north. Obviously, I did not find the Pink-footed there, but it might be worth a check for future searches. This is less than 3 miles from the original PFGO pond.
I just re-located the pond on Google Earth. The GPS coordinates are:
39°17'42.15"N
77° 2'56.18"W
This pond is on a large farm on the north side of Union Chapel Road across from Bucks Run Road (into a subdivision). I had pulled over at Bucks Run Road to scan the pond and into the fields.
Hope this helps ...
Phil
