Have had an interesting day at the feeder outside my window at the
office at NZP with 4 Fox Sparrows! One of my favorite birds and a nice
distraction from work.
A group of Grackles and a Red-wing also appeared today, both FOY for
this location.

You can bird the feeder area from the bike path on the south side of
the bend in Rock Creek across from the Petting Zoo. It is straight up
the big hill from there.

We are at the National Zoo Science Building which is unfortunately
closed to the public, unless you are attending our seminar series,
which is at 3:30 on Fridays and this week features Dr. Jessica
Deichmann from the Center for Conservation Education and
Sustainability speaking about tropical amphibians and is open to the
public. If attending the seminar you can enter from Adams Mill Rd.
