I just got a call from Jim Green who is birding in St. Mary's and Calvert today with Kathy Calvert. They had American Woodcocks displaying near the created wetlands along Patuxent Blvd between Iris Lane and Mile Cove Road. Plus, they had a surprise drop-in Black-crowned Night-heron that flew in and landed in the wetland. Also had a Barred Owl calling from there which isn't a surprise as we usually get them there on May Count.

They had American Pipits, Horned Larks and Wilson's Snipe in a field along Villa Road in St. Inigoes. I think it's the fields on either side of the private driveway just beyond the entrance to the Villa House apartments.

As an aside, there were a dozen Canada Geese in the field south of the bridge in Solomons this morning but a quick scan didn't produce the white-fronted goose. Maybe the small flock will attract more?
