I had 30 brown headed cowbirds at my feeded the other day too in Owings
near the Bay
 Your right, when we walk the Fishing Creek boardwalk thru the wetlands,
the  kingfishers that we heard all Jan-Feb seem to have gone.
  However, they seem to have been replaced by red winged blackbirds.
