Hi all,
Well, so much for March coming "in like a lion" although it was getting a wee bit breezy later in the morning. We revisited Wheaton Regional Park and did a bit of Brookside Nature Ctr. (the Gardens were noisy with unnecessary, IMHO, leaf-blowing). Best birds were continuing FOX SPARROWS and FOS BROWN THRASHER, all in WRP near the mini-train tracks. One male Wood Duck continues at Pine Lake, no geese (not complaining!). Very few White-throats, they seem to have thinned out considerably since Tuesday. Lots of calling and singing and the Bluebirds were investigating the nest boxes. Expect Tree Swallows any day now... One of the Red-shoulders was carrying nesting material, a few small twigs. We had a few Cedar Waxwings in our yard this morning but none at the park.
Following is our complete eBird report.
