I spent the morning birding Swan Harbor, Havre de Grace, and Lapidum.

Swan Harbor continues to have a number of ducks in the impoundments, but the real highlight was an adult Golden Eagle that was seen heading north in the same flight path as many Vs of Canada Geese. Yesterday evening, I briefly visited Swan Harbor and saw 4 American Tree Sparrows, which were not seen this morning. If you want to see dabbling ducks in Harford County, Swan Harbor is the place to go. Pintail, Shoveler, Wigeon, and Green-winged Teal were all present today along with Ring-neckeds and the lone female Canvasback that has been there a while. No Gadwalls, but yesterday there were several at the Club House Rd pond in Perryman.

At the Concord Lighthouse in Havre de Grace, there was a lone male Red-breasted Merganser in the river.

At Lapidum, as previously reported, an adult Black-headed Gull with a full hood was present with 300+ Bonaparte's Gull and 500 Ring-billed Gulls. The flock of gulls stretched from the 95 bridge to well north of Port Deposit. The Black-headed was the only gull with a full hood present while I was there. I would expect Little Gulls to be showing up soon.

Good Birding!
