All:

I spent about an hour at Swan Creek this morning, and along with two other birders, found 2 Wilson's Snipe and many assorted common birds. I beleive the elevated water level in the mitigated wetland has pushed the Virginia Rails to another spot, as they were not found. I saw one of the local Peregrine Falcons flying west across the south cell as I was leaving. The new environmental specialist there added that he had seen at least one Tree Swallow earlier in the morning. Also, there were a few small mixed blackbird flocks moving, and plenty of Spring Peepers calling.

Along the Fort Smallwood Road/Solley Road corridor, the usualy bunch of Black Vultures were flying, and one pair were showing signs of courtship.
