MD Osprey:

An action item has been on my "to do" list for several years to 
co-write a paper on "Managing Rarities" that deals with the tricky 
subject of acting as a gatekeeper when rare birds are found on 
private property.

The last time I dusted off this action, I created a couple of 
"mindmaps" to help me organize the material that would eventually go 
into the paper. Since this action item is still lower priority on my 
list than quite a few other MD/DCRC action items, I thought I'd go 
ahead and post these mindmaps in case they may be able to benefit 
other people who find themselves in the position of interfacing 
between the birding community and a private property owner who is 
hosting a rare bird.
