Everyone, FYI, in this month's Natural History magazine, there's an article about Snowy Owls, "Messengers from the Arctic."

It is focused on owls at Logan Airport in Boston every winter. One wildlife specialist has trapped (and released many miles away) over 400 Snowy Owls from Logan in about 3 decades, so they won't be a hazard to flying. While they are at Logan, they have preyed upon Brant, Canada Goose, Great Blue Heron, not to mention ducks, as well as other raptors, including Barn Owl, American Kestrel, Northern Harrier, Short Eared Owl, and most amazing of all -- Peregrine Falcon. There is a photo of a snowy with the deceased Peregrine.

How on earth can a Snowy Owl catch a Peregrine? It must do so after dark, when the Peregrine is roosting, thinking it is safe....

If you get a chance to see it, good article.
