The Maryland Legislature is in session and Park/Open Space funding is often sacrificed.  Friend of MD State Parks has put together a means of contacting your legislators in support of park funding, and preserving Program Open Space funds for their intended purpose, providing open space.  Please consider forwarding the below to your members.  We all use state parks and they provide habitat for the birds we love.
