Had a pleasant birding day yesterday, Sat., with some nice arrivals. Despite searching for Little Gulls at Port Deposit, was unsuccessful. Did have lots of BONAPARTE's GULLS, as well as my FOY OSPREY. Swan Harbor was my next stop with my husband and I yielding a (finally!) very vocal KING RAIL. Also had my FOY BLUE WINGED TEALS, 1male and 2 females, lots of SONG and SAVANNAH SPARROWS, and at least 2 SNIPES. This week was a very eventful birding week, yielding VIRGINIA WARBLER at Pickering Creek, CLAY COLORED SPARROW at EA Vaughn, associating witha FOY GRAY CATBIRD, LE CONTE'S SPARROW at Irvne Nature Center, EURASIAN WIGEON at KENT NARROWS and RED HEADED WOODPECKER at Steel Pond Rd in Stockton. Lots of NORHERN GANNETS and arrival of PINE WARBLER at Assateague, but my big miss there, was the Lark sparrow, despite heavy searching.
