Hi,
Yesterday a friend and I got into a mildly heated argument over the use of
the common name "Eastern Tufted Titmouse".
I maintained that the name "Eastern Tufted Titmouse" is not used, and that
the only acceptable common name for *Baeolophus bicolor* IS "Tufted
Titmouse".
In my research on the web, however, I found that the common name "Eastern
Tufted Titmouse" WAS used for a while.
Does anyone know the dates when the common name "Eastern Tufted Titmouse"
was used? (especially the date when its use was discarded).
There are high stakes riding on the answer--sadly I probably will have to
concede a draw ;(
