I have the stackable humming bird feeders so there is three on one hook, two on another and a single one on the third hook. I do believe I am ready for these little treasures to show up.
The brown thrashers have paired up, bluebirds have been checking out the new houses for a week now and there is one female robin making her nest in a dogwood tree. The red belly and downy woodpeckers have been chasing mates around and the chipping sparrows have returned. There is a red tailed hawk nesting across the road and the juncos and white throated sparrows are still here. The mocking bird and I shares tunes each morning along with the American goldfinches filling the yard with their songs.
Oh how I love spring.
The pair of yellow belly sapsuckers have decorated the gum tree with hole patterns that I have been photographing and the Carolina wrens like going up inside my concrete fountain, they may have a nest in there. Think I will go sit outside for a while and enjoy all the flowering trees and the songs of the birds.
Enjoy today to the fullest.
