Thank you for posting Gail, and Barry for finding the Little Gull.

I was on my way to the Back River when I saw Gail's message. Once there I
checked with the owner/foreman at the clean up site and he walked with me to
look at the mud flats. We talked briefly about the Back River clean up (500
tires in one day!), birds and access issues for birders. He is open to
letting birders use this site; but prefers that we get consent from
Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Resource
Management. They do not work there on weekends; but the neighbors keep an
eye on the property. After a short time Kevin Graff arrived. Kevin
volunteered to take the contact name to the someone in the Baltimore Bird
Club to make arrangements.

With a slightly elevated view, I saw one 2nd year bird on the mud flats.
After a Bald Eagle launched from a log in the mud many of the birds moved. I
attempted to get pictures; but I'm nut sure if I got the bird.

I usually look at the flats from an overgrown area after crossing a grassy
lot behind the vacant shopping center. I have never been challenged for
entering here. Alternately, I stop on the park-and-ride lot on the east end
of the Eastern Blvd bridge and walk onto the bridge and hope for something
to fly over.
