I made a quick stop at Conowingo Dam around 6:15 this evening. There
were at least 45 Bald Eagles there - mostly adult. I thought they should
be dispersed for breeding but there they were.

There were also several hundred Double-crested Cormorants there. I
didn't look through them for a Great Cormorant.

Also, the entrance road to the dam has been paved and is actually a nice
road now instead of the chain of pot holes it was becoming.

The eagle looked down on the river below
And he wrapped his wings round him and he fell like a stone
And the big salmon fought but the talons held true
And he shuddered as the world turned from silver to blue
