Yesterday Winger West, Dave Brenneman and I birded in Prince George's and Baltimore Counties. The highlights for me included a singing Wood Thrush at Governor Bridge Natural Area, a pair of Barred Owls at Milford Mills Park (AKA Vila Nova Park), pine warblers at Soldier's Delight and Southwest Area Park, and both kinglets at Southwest Area Park.

Comments: Winger West, Dave Brenneman, and I birded Vila Nova Park (AKA
Milford Mills Park) on Milford Mills Road in Baltimore County. The highlight
was two Barred Owls.
12 species

Canada Goose 2
Red-tailed Hawk 1
Barred Owl 2 As we walked clockwise around the 1-mile asphalt path, we
noticed a lot of whitewash on the path. We looked up to see what had made it.
There sitting in the branches was a Barred Owl. Dave Brenneman, the photographer
amongst us, took some great pictures while Winger West and I continued around
the loop. Dave first heard another Barred Owl calling. When Winger and I reached
the opposite side of the path, we were also able to get additional great looks
at the owl. Then we heard the calling (probable) mate, too. Here is one of
Dave's pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/birdy26md/7008210013/
