I birded Pickering for about 1 1/2 hours this evening (6:00 to 7:30) and did
not see or hear the VIWA. However, I was only along the trail where it is
normally found for about 1/2 hour and it usually takes more effort than
this. I checked the observation board and the last sighting listed was 3/17
which is before the 3/18 observation reported on MDOsprey. There was a lot
off sparrow activity and I had a very cooperative adult white-crowned
sparrow along the trail.

According to eBird, the last reports were from 3/11. The last report on
MDOsprey was on 3/18.

Has the bird been seen at all this week? I can stop by there tomorrow
morning if it's still around.
