Hi all,

A run up to Back River -- from Diamond Point Rd., Eastern Blvd. bridge, Cox Point Park, Cove Rd. and points in between -- yielded a lot of Bonaparte's Gulls, perhaps 500+, our first Laughing Gull of the season in this area, 8 FOS PURPLE MARTINS, all male, investigating the martin house at the marina near Cox. Pt. Park (welcome back!), quite a few Tree Swallows (50+) but no other hirundines identified, one Brown Thrasher along Diamond Pt. Road. NO Little Gulls were seen. Admittedly a lot of the Bonies were distant and sitting on the water which can make picking out a Little Gull a challenge so there could have been one out there. Sometimes a matter of luck or being in the right place at the right time!
