This afternoon, during my lunch break, I observed six Caspian Terns on the
Potomac River, from the vantage point of Fort Foote Park just south of the
Wilson Bridge. This is my first record for March and the first reported to
eBird in MD this year, but it's a normal arrival date. Also flying over the
river was my first-of-the-year Barn Swallow.
