Today (3/31)  there was a nice assortment of early spring migrants in the two counties:

Two Blue-winged Teal, male Wood Duck and Brown Thrasher in wetlands behind New Windsor Middle School

Male Northern Harriers -- one hunting over field on Keysville Road just east of Baumgardner Road and one along Keysville Road east of Creamery Road

Greater Yellowlegs, two Lesser Y-legs, Killdeer, 18 Wilson's Snipe, two American pipits--all in large puddle in field along Old Frederick Road 2000 feet north of Motters Station Road (MD 76)

Bonaparte's Gull--two flying over large farm pond on Toms Creek Church Road near Bollinger  School Road

Red-headed Woodpeckers-- one adult in woods along Baumgardner Road south of Piney Creek; 4 adults in woods along Ruggles Road

Yellow Palm Warbler at corner of Frock and Teeter Roads near PA line
