Weather:
Sunny with a few clouds in the afternoon; 50-68 degrees; excellent
visibility; light winds varied between W, WNW, and NNW, 3-10 mph

Raptor Observations:
Two more Broadwings

Non-raptor Observations: First Snowy Egret of the season;
30 Northern Rough-winged and 124 Tree Swallows were counted with actual
totals likely much higher.  Butterflies included 20-25 each of Cabbage
White and Orange Sulphur; 2 Red Admirals; and a female Black Swallowtail.
Ranger Matt Grey also had a Checkered White.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
