I used to listen to them from my parents house in Severna Park (spurred on by Hal's findings) in the mid-70s. I remember hearing multiple birds on several nights during early spring. I doubt anyone tries to do this any more... It was hard staying awake in the lawn car in the front yard!!

Bill,
Hal Wierenga used to listen in spring for Barn Owls migrating at night
over his house in Annapolis. In 1978 he tallied 54 for the season. His peak
that year was seven on April 12.
