Hubby and I birded the Pretty study area this morning and continued on to the end of the Shamberger Peninsula trail.

Pileated woodpecker.......edge of clearing
Carolina Wren...edge of clearing
Chipping Sparrow....clear cut
Mourning Dove....clear cut
Cowbird...clear cut
Ovenbird....edge of clearing..............after clear cut

Pine Warbler...saw one at the end of Shamberger trail....heard a lot of these along the trail to the end of the peninsula

Some large bird got spooked by us and left a dead snake on the Shamberger trail. Also, came across a PA man hunting turkeys with his bow. He told us he heard at three hens?
