Somerset and Worcester--recent arrivals--4/20/2012

Hi Everyone,

About an hour of birding along Pete's Hill Rd in Somerset Co this morning (20 Apr 2012) yielded 40 species.  Some highlights were:

Common Loon  1    flew over, heading N
Great-crested Flycatcher  3     all very vocal, saw one of them
Red-eyed Vireo  1
Ovenbird  3
Worm-eating Warbler  1
Louisiana Waterthrush  1
Black-and-white Warbler  3
Common Yellowthroat  3
Pine Warbler  3
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle)  3
Yellow-throated Warbler  1
Prairie Warbler  6
White-throated Sparrow  17
Blue Grosbeak  1     singing and seen near Ed Boston Rd

A little later 2 Wood Thrushes were singing loudly near the junction of Fleming Mill Pond Rd and Fleming Mill Rd in Worcester Co.
