Usually I complain about construction, but not today! The time we were stopped for construction work at the Conowigo Dam bridge, was long enough for my husband to notice a PEREGRINE FALCON in flight. We decided to stop at the Fisherman's Park, and it wasn't too long before it came into view. It flew quickly towards the woods and eventually came back around to the dam site with prey in it's talons! Not sure what it was, but I'm guessing Rock Dove. From there, we drove to chase the HENSLOW'S SPARROW,and were able to hear it sing briefly. Thank's to Matt Hafner for finding such a great bird! Perryman Park was quiet- a GREATER YELLOWLEGS and KILLDEER. Swan Harbor Farm was also quiet, although we did manage to get 3 singing FOY COMMON YELLOWTHROATS. Took a very quick ride through Susquehanna SP and we were able to hear a YELLOW THROATED WARBLER at the entrance to the picnic area. Good birding to all!
