Hey All,

I birded Patterson Park (big surprise). It was a very nice day! Some first of the years and, what with all the clouds some very nice close looks at feeding swifts and swallows.

Mallard 30 (12 ducklings) 
Am. Black Duck X Mallard 1
Double-crested Cormorant 2
Great Blue Heron 1
Black-crowned Night-heron 1
Cooper's Hawk 1
Am. Coot 1
Am. Woodcock 1
Ring-billed Gull 4
Caspian Tern 2
Mourning Dove 6
Rock Pigeon 10
Northern Flicker 3
Fish Crow 2
Northern Rough-winged Swallow 6
Barn Swallow 15
House Wren 3
American Robin 8
Hermit Thrush 5
Gray Catbird 4
Northern Mockingbird 2
European Starling 25
Yellow Warbler 2
Palm Warbler (yellow) 2
Black-and-white Warbler 8 (first of the year too! Interestingly only one female) 
Ovenbird 2
Northern Waterthrush 1 (has been present at Boat Lake for over a week now; occasionally sings)

Northern Cardinal 1
Eastern Towhee 5
Chipping Sparrow 5
Savannah Sparrow 2 (on the muddy spots on the athletic fields; very unusual bird in Patterson Park!)
