Hi Folks,

This evening I did a search for rails at Swan Creek (Sun., 4/29), and only
found Virginia and Sora. However, a SEDGE WREN vocalized on several
occasions at dusk in the mitigated wetland as I was listening for the
rails. Earlier I found an AMERICAN AVOCET in breeding plumage, foraging
around in water up to its flanks in the closest part of the north dredge
cell, easily viewed from the flagpole area. I took several stills and some
video of the bird.
