Hi all-

This afternoon I led a group of my National Parks Conservation
Association<http://www.npca.org/protecting-our-parks/wildlife-habitat/birding-the-battlefield.html>colleagues
on a walk around the Ford Loop Trail at the Worthington Farm
section of the Monocacy National Battlefield. It was a beautiful day and a
beautiful trail, and a great time was had by the expert and beginning
birders alike. Highlights included:

2 Grasshopper Sparrows - calling from the grassy farm field along the road
south of the Worthington Farm
Indigo Buntings - on territory on the field along the river
Warbling and Red-eyed Vireos - Calling along the river
Orchard and Baltimore Orioles - both birds near the parking lot just under
I-270
Yellow-rumped Warblers and Common Yellowthroats - the only two warblers,
surprisingly, but great looks

Good birding!
