Cloudy becoming partly cloudy over the course of the day; 60-75 degrees;
poor to fair visibility; winds light and variable

Raptor Observations:
Once the clouds gave way, a decent flight ensued.

Non-raptor Observations:
Solitary Sandpiper (1) and Bobolink (30) were new species for the season;
477 Blue Jays and 53 Chimney Swifts; hundreds of butterflies, mostly Red
Admirals, but also anglewings and American Ladies, heading north

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
