Thanks to Dan Haas for posting this and to Bill Hubick for his timely arrival. I took 20 or so poor photos with my smartphone, concentrating on the tail and neck, especially. Bill's photos are fantastic and his presence was a huge help to me as I watched the Anhinga while still noting warblers that were surrounding us (Nashville, Hooded, earlier I had found Kentucky and heard Blue-winged).
I first found the bird at 0950 and watched it slowly adjust itself on a fallen snag before finding its was to a maple where it roosted for at least an hour.
Amazing bird and I'm so glad that Bill and Jim Stasz got it while I was there.
