Hi Everyone,

For anyone who visited Lake Waterford Park to see the ANHINGA, or who visits in the future, please use the new eBird hotspot for Lake Waterford Park. For anyone who has already reported, please change your report to use the new hotspot.

Simply follow these easy steps, which will take about 30 seconds. If someone shared the report with you, they'll need to update the location and yours will be merged as well. This will keep the map tidy and ensure we get the best view of future Lake Waterford Park data via the hotspot.

1) Click the "My eBird" tab
2) Click the "Manage My Locations" link on the right
3) In the Search box, start typing part of the name you used for your personal location. ("Waterford" should be enough to find the location.)
4) Click the red hotspot icon for the new "Lake Waterford Park" hotspot, select the Merge option, and click the Merge button. Confirm yes. When asked whether you want to delete the old location, say "yes". This just means you won't have a duplicate later.

(Remember that you can use a hotspot and rename it as you see fit. Others will see the hotspot name, but you will see whatever weird naming convention you use!  :))

Thanks in advance!

This site was very productive for migrant songbirds and I for one intend to work it into my birding rotation more in the future. Thanks again to Matt Grey for the awesome find!

Good birding!

Bill
