Hi Everyone,
I did a quick walk along the Northwest side of Centennial Lake today, and was surprised to find a pair of Lesser Scaup floating/resting out in the middle of the lake, west of the boat pavilion.
Also interesting was an alternate-calling Acadian Flycatcher that nearly had me fooled for a Least. The bird was calling about 40 feet back in the woods. I left the trail and stalked the bird to within 15 feet, and saw the thick tail, greenish tint, and long wing-projection. This was very interesting to see!
