Sorry this post is late, but I was exhausted after a great morning of birding, and evening spendng time with family. I also birded same areas on Saturday. I met Anna Urciolo at Rock Run, on Sunday, and then we drove over to the picnic area. We had some nice birds, similar to Tim Houghton. (Sorry we missed you, Tim!) Rock Run was indeed rocking with birds! Best bird for me was a BAY BREASTED MALE, in all of his splendor. Also, CANADA, YELLOW (both days), and NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH (Saturday). A BLACKBURNIAN (Saturday), was a nice treat. SPOTTED SANDPIPER, a waited for bird, was there both days. Thanks to Anna, who spotted a BROAD WINGED HAWK, at the pcnic area-I was busy trying to find the CHESTNUT SIDED WARBLER, that frustratingly had to go unseen. We also had another CANADA, and probable TENNESEEE in the woods behind the picnic area. It's sad to see Spring migration coming to an end soon, but it only helps us to look forward to Fall!
