Cromwell Valley Park will be hosting an Oriole Day Celebration on Saturday, May 19th at the Willow Grove Nature Education Center.  Bird walks, a bug hike, local bird photography, birding displays and kid's crafts and activities ( including a puppet show) are just a few of the fun events scheduled.

Some of the local organizations on hand include Chesapeake Audobon Society, Phoenix Wildlife, Baltimore Bird Club, Wild Bird Center and the Natural History Society of MD.

The weather forecast for this weekend looks fabulous, so come out and join us for a fun birding/nature centered good time!

Oh, did I mention the orioles?  Cromwell Valley Park is a great place to see both Baltimore and Orchard orioles, and with a little luck we will see both species as they are quite active now building and tending to nests.  Also, we will have spotting scopes set up to get good close up views of some of the many Eastern Bluebirds and Tree Swallows at the nest boxes.
