Hi All:
Went to Rock Creek for just a couple of hours this morning - just at the ridge and the equitation field- things were very slow (except for the large population of annoying black flies) but about 7:30 am there was a little flurry of activity at the Equitation Field. Among the warblers seen or heard include: black throated blue, black throated green, magnolia, and redstarts. One yellow warbler seen at the tippy top of a tall tree but it came right out in the sun!  Several blackpolls were heard.
The usual tanager, orioles and great crested flycatchers, wood thrush. towhee, and blue-gray gnatcatchers were about.
