Hi all,

This morning I went to Violette's Lock, to see and half hoping the Red-necked Phalaropes might be around.  They weren't, but I managed 30 species: Yellow-throated Warbler,
Horned Grebe, Great Egret, Spotted Sandpiper, Louisiana Waterthrush, Prothonotary Warb....
Indigo Buntings singing constantly- (credit to Ron Gutberlet for some of the leads)

A little later at Hughes Hollow, I just birded the impoundments and staying close to the car, as the sky was becoming rather ominous.  Total of 38 species, highlights: 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers (Ron G.) 1 American Redstart, Prothonotary Warbler (singing away!), Green Herons all over the place, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, White-eyed & Yellow-throated Vireos. The serenade of Bullfrogs rounded out the afternoon before the rain let down!
