Hi all,

I was at Eden Mill from 9:30 - 11:30 this morning and did not hear or see
the Mourning Warbler. One of the banders reported hearing it sing briefly
around 7 AM close to Eden Mill Road, but no other birders I talked to this
morning had seen or heard the bird since. However, apparently the bird has
been banded and another bander told me the bird had very little fat on it.
So hopefully it'll stick around feeding awhile longer. From what I gather,
it's not been seen/heard outside about a 50 yard radius of the original
sighting. Basically, follow the (unnamed) path from Eden Mill Road, leading
from the parking area near the bridge, down to the canoe launch. The bird
was caught for banding in a mist net closer to the canoe launch. Off of
this path is the Bluebird Trail, where the bird has also been hanging
around. There's plenty of good habitat for it in the vicinity of this trail.

Here's a map of the trails. Start near the big P next to the bridge.

Otherwise activity was pretty good. Highlights included singing Prairie
Warbler, singing Yellow-breasted Chat, singing Blue-winged Warbler, singing
Blue Grosbeark, (silent) Worm-eating Warbler, and a calling Yellow-billed
Cuckoo on the other side of the creek.

Good birding,
