I'm not sure if that is true or not but that is an interesting
observation Tony. I know that the alternate song threw me off when I
first started hearing it a lot (and I was already familiar with Hooded
Warblers from when I lived in Greenbelt). I'd say that, on a drive
through Green Ridge State Forest, the call Dan recorded is about as
likely as the standard (perhaps more typical ?) "Tawee Tawee Tawee tee
tee-o" that you also often hear (or "I wish I wish to register" as I
once heard a college student in a field Ornithology class describe it;
that mnemonic still works well for me).
