My adult daughter, not a birder but a prisoner on many birding trips over the years, saw a small gray hawk on Sunday, flying near the Montrose Road-I270 intersection.

Keep your eyes open.

On the way into work I saw a perched Mississippi Kite on a dead tree southbound 270 south of Montrose Rd. We were on the access road stuck in traffic and got good looks, at 8:30 am. For those of you who commute that way, it is the dead tree that often has a raptor in it just past Montrose.
