Subject: [MDBirding] Woodbine migrants

Evening all,
I spent some time birding the yard this morning, and again this evening, finding some nice migrants. This morning I had another Chestnut-sided Warbler moving through very fast, and several Baltimore Orioles and Scarlet Tanagers as well. Several N. Flickers fed in the grass while Chimney Swifts flew overhead.

This evening, I had my second record for Blue-winged Warbler, perhaps the dullest individual I have ever seen, a likely first fall female bird. Lots of Scarlet Tanagers were in the trees too, with one individual changing from red to yellow on its back (5-6 birds this evening); more orioles were around with some males still singing, front and back yards. I saw a Great-crested Flycatcher here tonight, my first since mid-summer, and a pair of Common Nighthawks appeared from the south, and just as quickly flew over and then headed east (?). Also had a very gray individual House Wren, along with a very vocal pair of Carolinas, which have been spending time on the deck lately. Several Eastern Phoebes and some still singing E. Wood-Pewees, as well as loads of Eastern Bluebirds, lots of Chipping Sparrows, White-breasted Nuthatches, etc.
Many hummers feeding and emptying the feeders in just a couple of days...
