Subject: [MDBirding] *POSSIBLE* Connecticut Warbler at Cromwell Valley Park, 9/6/2012 and 9/7/2012

...emphasis on "possible." I have no idea what I saw last night, but it wasn't a yellowthroat. Too big, and had a complete yellowish eyering and tail-pumping behavior. No streaking or wingbars. I described it to another birder this morning. I ran into her again as she was leaving, and she described a very similar bird in the same area, but also confirmed a grayish head and Ovenbird-like walk. All of this was along Minebank Run between the two bridges. When I had it, it was on the north side of the stream, to the right of bluebird box #17. She had it along the path on the south side of the stream. A 2.5-hour search revealed nothing when I tried to relocate it. 'Tis the season for amazingly frustrating warblers.
