Dan,

We were there within 15 minutes of your post, and scoured not only the northern-most sod field (which was dirt but not mud?) and did not refind the buffies. There were lots of killdeer, two or three snipe, and mourning doves. And for some reason us two old folks walking the field attracted a very large kettle of curious and apparently hopeful turkey and black vultures, which ventured quite close. But no sandpipers of any description.

Can you be more specific as to the exact location? We'll keep checking through the weekend.

Joanne

There are not one, not two, at least THREE (and maybe more)
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS on the Northern-most sod field (now mud) on Swamp
Circle Road, near Deale MD.
