Subject: [MDBirding] Howard Laughing Gulls

Thought I'd weigh in on this. Laughers used to be pretty common in Howard. I remember seeing a flock of 1600 or more at Green Manor turf farm one year, and that's not the largest flock reported in the county. Then they closed the Alpha Ridge (Howard) and Laytonsville (Montgomery) landfills. In recent years you're lucky to see laugher in the county, although they are almost yearly in occurrence.
