Subject: [MDBirding] Mont Co migrants

I spent an hour both Sat and Sun mornings at around 8AM in/around the parking lot at the end of Sycamore Landing Rd. At about that timea chickadee/titmouse flock comes through dragging with it some migrants and lingering breeders. The birds mixed up in this flock included:

Yellow-bellied Flycatcher - 1 Sun
Least Flycatcher - 1 Sat
White-eyed Vireo - up to 10, both adult and HY
E Pewee - 5 or so both days
Red-eyed Vireo - 10 yesterday, maybe 2 today
N Parula - 1 Sun
Blue-winged Warbler - 1 Sat
Praire Warbler - 1 Sun, 1st yr bird very weakly marked
Bay-breasted Warbler - 1 Sat
Black-and-White Warbler - 2 Sat
Chestnut-sided Warbler - couple both days
Magnolia Warbler- commonest, c 10 both days
Common Yellowthroat - maybe c5 or more at field edge
N Waterthrush - 1 Sun frequenting a wet ditch next to road

I checked the Polo Grounds and the Summit Hall farm, nothing but Kildeers both days.Unusual not to have found a Buff-breasted atthose sites by this date. After some errands this morning I twitched the Sabine's Gull and coming across the Bairds was a really nice bonus.

Good birding
