This morning (9/14) at Rock Creek Park�.
A first winter MOURNING WARBLER was sighted at the west end of the maintenance yard. It displayed broken eye-ring, dark tail, and yellow throat, breast and undertail coverts.
Also, there was an early arrival of a White-throated Sparrow at the equitation field. Overall, the birding was slow.
