Subject: [MDBirding] Olive-sided FC at Creagerstown Park

Stopped off to fish the Monocacy River this evening and found an Olive-sided on a snag on the north side of rt 550 above the playground. White patch down the center, strong notch on tail, large, peaked head. It held its own as a Blue Jay, Phoebe and several Cedar Waxwings tried to take its perch.

In the shrubs near the NW corner of the bridge were a very cooperative Cape May, a Red-breasted Nuthatch and a Chestnut-sided that responded to my screech-owl immitation.

Also, if anyone birds that area and know the status of nearby bobwhite please let me know offline.

Thanks,
