I just came inside from watching a flock of 40+ Pine Siskins foraging and devouring our pine cone seeds. At least two Red-breasted Nuthatches also enjoyed the feast, one of whom repeatedly found and cached seeds for a while.
Other yard migrants included several Ruby-crowned Kinglets and a few warblers (Yellow-rumped, Magnolia, and Black-throated Green). In particular, the Black-throated Green snatched a rather large beetle and flew to the ground under a holly tree to work on eating it.
