Hi all,
Birded near home this morning, and was delighted to see PURPLE FINCHES passing thru. Other nice migrants included: an extremely cooperative male Black-throated Blue Warbler, Palm Warbler, Blue-headed Vireo (all by its lonesome) bunches of Yellow-rumped Warblers, White-throated Sparrows and a Brown Creeper.
Bluejays are still making a racket, but their numbers are down. Eastern Phoebes seemed everywhere in the woods and along the creek.
