I spent a couple of hours at this site this morning since I had not been there for a while. There were a lot of the common October migrants, in particular American Robin, Northern Flicker and Yellow-rumped Warbler which made finding the wheat from the chaff rather difficult, so to speak. As far as neotropical migrants were concerned I found singles of Swainson's Thrush, Black-throated Green Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warble and Scarlet Tanager. I had in total around 30 Pine Siskins pass overhead along with 5 Purple Finch. Along the bay there was not a lot of activity but a Royal Tern went past, which was a bit of a surprise. Possibly the best bird was one I had to leave unidentified, a Grey-cheeked Thrush type which had some good characters for Bicknell's, in the small patch of woodland at the entrance gate. Unfortunately it only gave brief views and then disappeared.

Good birding,
